What Is Roof Cleaning?

Erase the Streaks, Extend Your Roof's Life

Those ugly black streaks on your roof aren’t dirt — they’re algae feeding on your shingles. Left untreated, moss and algae trap moisture, lift shingles and shorten the life of your roof. Our roof cleaning removes them safely and completely.

We use the roofing industry’s recommended soft wash method — no high pressure that could void your warranty or damage shingles. Specialized detergents kill the growth at the root, restoring your roof’s appearance and helping it last years longer.

Roof Cleaning Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your service.

No. We use a no-pressure soft wash — the method recommended by shingle manufacturers. It removes algae and moss without the granule loss that high-pressure washing can cause.

They’re a type of algae (Gloeocapsa magma) that feeds on the limestone filler in shingles. It spreads over time and traps moisture, which is why prompt treatment matters.

Our detergents kill the algae at the root, so results last far longer than a surface rinse. In shaded, damp areas some regrowth is natural over time, and periodic treatment keeps it in check.

Yes. We pre-wet and rinse surrounding plants and use biodegradable solutions, protecting your garden throughout the process.
