What Is Deck Cleaning?

Bring Your Deck Back to Life

Decks take a beating from sun, rain, foot traffic and organic growth. Grey, weathered boards, slippery algae and ground-in grime make even a solid deck look tired. Our deck cleaning gently strips all of it away to reveal the fresh wood or composite underneath.

We match the right pressure and cleaner to your decking — gentle soft washing for delicate wood, controlled cleaning for composite — so boards come clean without fuzzing, gouging or damage. It's the perfect first step before sealing or staining.

Deck Cleaning Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your service.

Yes. We adjust our method for each — gentle soft washing for natural wood to avoid fuzzing, and controlled cleaning for composite to restore its finish safely.

Improper pressure can gouge or fuzz wood, which is why we use the correct low-pressure technique and cleaners. Your boards come out clean and smooth, not damaged.

Cleaning is the perfect first step, but wood needs to dry fully first — usually 24–48 hours depending on weather — before sealing or staining for best adhesion.

Standard cleaning removes dirt, algae and greying but not necessarily solid stain. If you're planning to refinish, let us know and we'll advise on the right prep.
